How they are made
Each sign is CNC-carved from pine or poplar milled by an Amish sawyer a short drive from our shop, then hand-finished and stained. The letters are cut into the wood rather than printed on it, so the design has depth you can run a thumb over and nothing on the surface that can chip or peel.

Built for a covered porch
These are carved and sealed wood, which suits a covered porch, a front hall or a mudroom. Under an overhang they hold up for years. Fully exposed to driving rain and direct sun they will weather like any wood sign does, so a spot with some cover is worth choosing.
What to put by a door
Welcome signs are the safe answer and there are several here. The better answer is usually something with your family name, or a line that tells a visitor what kind of house they are walking into — the ones that make somebody smile before they knock.
Vertical shapes suit the space beside a door. Wider ones sit above it or lean against a porch post.
