What started in 2018 as a single sign in a Kentucky garage has grown into a family of handcrafted goods shipped to over 10,000 homes across America.
From a Garage in Rineyville
It started in 2018 with a single CNC machine, a few boards of solid hardwood, and a stubborn idea. We called it Knots On Wood — a little Etsy shop carving custom signs for families who wanted something real hanging on their walls.
No vinyl. No shortcuts. Just V-carved solid hardwood, hand-stained in our Kentucky workshop. Then the thank-you notes started coming in. Then the photos — our signs hanging in homes from Oregon to Maine. We realized we weren't just making decor. We were making pieces of people's stories.
Eight Years of Growing
One brand became three. Three became one. Here's how we got here.
Knots On Wood
Launched on Etsy with custom CNC-carved wooden signs. Just me, one machine, and a whole lot of boards.
Creekside Candles
Added hand-poured soy candles to the lineup. Warm scents to match the warmth of our signs.
Picture This Prints
Launched apparel and drinkware — color-changing mugs, t-shirts, and tumblers with the same soul as our signs.

Consolidated all three shops under one roof. One brand, one story, one place to find everything we make.
Not Printed. Not Vinyl. Carved.
Every sign we make is V-carved from solid hardwood — not printed, not vinyl, not plywood with a stencil. The letters are literally cut into the wood, giving every piece real depth, real shadows, and a heirloom quality that lasts decades.
Our lumber comes from a trusted local Amish mill just down the road from our workshop. Sustainably harvested, kiln-dried, and hand-picked board by board. When you touch one of our signs, you're touching wood that grew in the same soil we did.
