Best Family Ever Sign — Rustic Carved Wood Family Decor
Family signs carved from Kentucky pine and poplar — family name signs, established-year pieces, house rules, and the ones that admit a household is loud.
How they are made
Each sign is CNC-carved from pine or poplar milled by an Amish sawyer a short drive from our shop, then hand-finished and stained. The letters are cut into the wood rather than printed on it, so the design has depth you can run a thumb over and nothing on the surface that can chip or peel.
Made to order in Bardstown, Kentucky, and shipped free in 2–7 business days.
Name signs and the rest
A family name sign is the piece most people come here for, and it is the one worth getting right: it goes in an entryway or above a mantel and stays there. Carved rather than printed matters more on a name than on a joke, because a name sign is read closely by everybody who visits.
The rest of the range is looser. House rules, gathering-place lines, signs about grandchildren, and a fair number that are funny about family rather than sentimental about it.
Where they go
Entryways and mantels take the name and established-year pieces. Kitchens and living rooms suit the longer lines, because those are rooms people sit in long enough to read. A hallway takes a taller shape.
As a gift
Family signs give well for a housewarming, a wedding, or a milestone anniversary. They are also the safest carved gift to buy for somebody else, provided you have the spelling and the year right — which is worth checking twice rather than once.
