Porch Swing Summer is the glass of watermelon lemonade you set on the rail and forget about until it sweats a ring on the wood. The strawberry comes in soft behind it, more jam than candy, and the whole thing smells like July before the heat gets mean.

Porch Swing Summer is a watermelon lemonade wax melt hand-poured in Rineyville, Kentucky, by Bluegrass Belle Wax and Wick. It comes as a 9 oz bag of shaped tarts or an 8 oz squeeze pouch, both $16.99 with free US shipping. Squeeze pouch wax color varies from batch to batch; the pouch in the photo shows one batch, and yours may be a different color. The scent is always the same. Our tarts are natural and plant-based; the squeeze pouch contains mineral oil and is not a natural product.

Where it shines: Melt it in the kitchen on a Saturday morning with the windows up, or in a stuffy bedroom that needs to feel like outside.

Pick your style

Wax tarts, 9 oz bag: Porch Swing Summer poured into cowboy boots and hats, flowers, rounded squares, hearts, or boy-and-girl teddy bears.
